Mistral AI has launched Mistral Medium 3.5, a powerful new 128B open-weight model optimized for complex coding, reasoning, and productivity. This model powers new remote coding agents in Vibe, allowing developers to run long, asynchronous tasks in the cloud in parallel. A new "Work" mode in Le Chat also leverages the model, enabling the AI to handle multi-step projects by using various tools simultaneously for research and cross-application workflows. While the AI can now operate more autonomously, it still requires human approval for sensitive actions like sending messages or modifying data.
