Codex is Live in Zed

OpenAI's Codex is now live and integrated into the Zed code editor, a move driven by strong user demand. This integration is enabled by the Agent Client Protocol (ACP), which was initially developed in collaboration with Google's Gemini CLI team. The ACP standard allows various AI agents to connect with different client applications, promoting interoperability. Following previous integrations like Anthropic's Claude Code, the protocol is also being adopted by other platforms such as JetBrains.
