Visualizations are a key part of the research process, helping researchers understand their own work, interpret experiments, and determine the next steps. The plots and diagrams that accompany a paper or blog post are the final output of a much longer process of analyzing and understanding data. At Cohere Labs, creating these visualizations revealed that existing workflows make it difficult to iterate quickly while preserving reproducibility and data fidelity. This bottleneck in the research process highlights a need for better tooling.
