Generative AI is increasingly influencing how people learn about and engage with sexuality, particularly in the realms of information distribution and consent. While LLMs offer an anonymous way to seek sexual health information, they pose risks of factual inaccuracies, hallucinations, and inherent biases from their training data. The values of AI companies become embedded in models through reinforcement learning, which can lead to the devaluing of non-mainstream sexualities and the reinforcement of stereotypes. AI image generators also exhibit significant bias, often producing stereotypical or sexualized content unless carefully prompted. This technological shift necessitates greater AI literacy and scrutiny of the opaque ethical standards implemented by AI providers.
