Geospatial exploratory data analysis with GeoPandas and DuckDB

A geospatial analysis is performed using the Python libraries GeoPandas and DuckDB to analyze UK traffic accident data. The project's goal is to identify the safest city for driving by calculating a "safety index" based on casualties per square kilometer. The methodology involves defining city boundaries by their built-up area (BUA) footprint, using data from the Office of National Statistics, rather than simple administrative polygons. The process includes fetching GeoJSON data from an ArcGIS FeatureServer, processing it with GeoPandas, and creating aggregated multipart polygons for six major UK cities.
