How to Combine Contradictory Filters in DAX

Analyzing data with contradictory filters in DAX, such as tracking all statuses for only 'closed' orders, will typically yield an empty result. This issue arises because a standard data model cannot simultaneously satisfy conflicting filter contexts. The proposed solution involves modifying the data model by historizing the data, for instance, by using SQL to calculate the duration between each status change. This transformed data is then unpivoted into a long format, creating a row for each status an order has passed through, which allows for correct aggregation in Power BI.
