Humanoid Robots are Meta's Next Big Bet

Meta is making a significant investment in building humanoid robots, an effort described as its next "AR size bet," suggesting billions in spending. CTO Andrew Bosworth confirmed that a robotics research effort was established at the direction of CEO Mark Zuckerberg. Bosworth believes the primary challenge and bottleneck for this initiative is not the physical hardware. Instead, the most difficult part will be developing the sophisticated software and AI required to operate the robots.
