Introducing OlmoEarth embeddings: Custom embedding exports from OlmoEarth Studio for downstream analysis

OlmoEarth Studio now allows users to compute and export custom embedding vectors, which are compact numerical representations of Earth-observation data generated by open-source OlmoEarth foundation models. These embeddings support a wide range of downstream tasks, including similarity search, few-shot segmentation, change detection, and unsupervised exploration of satellite imagery. Users can specify parameters such as area of interest, time range, model size, and imagery sources to generate custom embeddings as Cloud-Optimized GeoTIFFs. This provides a fast and cost-effective method for leveraging powerful foundation models for complex geospatial analysis without requiring extensive fine-tuning.
