Runway has launched Dev MCP, a hosted server that connects a developer's Runway Dev account directly to their coding tools. This new feature allows a coding agent to autonomously manage an entire AI integration, including researching models, prices, and capabilities before writing any code. The agent can also configure a Model Router to optimize for cost, latency, or quality across several models and automatically debug failed generations by looking up the specific error. Designed for agent-driven development, the tool enables agents to handle API calls, schema validation, and even character creation without leaving the editor.
