Cohere has launched Transcribe Arabic, an open-source model for highly accurate Arabic speech-to-text conversion. The model is designed to handle the complexities of the language, including its 30 recognized dialects, bilingual Arabic-English speech, and domain-specific vocabulary. In human evaluations, Cohere Transcribe Arabic was preferred over Whisper in 96% of tests. The model is available for developers on Hugging Face under an Apache 2.0 license and can also be accessed via the Cohere API.
