One Flexible Tool Beats a Hundred Dedicated Ones

A single, flexible command-line interface (CLI) often proves more powerful for LLM agents than a collection of many dedicated tools. While older models needed simple menus, today's advanced models can expertly compose complex commands within a terminal, making the old approach restrictive. CLIs enable agents to build powerful data pipelines, chaining different programs together to process information without bloating the model's expensive context window.
