Mistral is focusing on Physics AI research to shape industrial engineering, following its acquisition of Emmi AI. The goal is to build foundational AI models for industries such as aerospace, automotive, semiconductors, and energy. This work aims to help engineers build next-generation products faster and achieve performance gains in large-scale operations. Published research supporting this initiative includes creating neural surrogates for computational fluid dynamics in transonic regimes and developing AI models for gyrokinetic plasma turbulence simulations related to nuclear fusion.
