Mistral AI has released Devstral 2, a new family of open-source models designed for code generation and software engineering tasks. The family includes the 123B parameter Devstral 2, which achieves a state-of-the-art 72.2% on the SWE-bench Verified benchmark, and the smaller 24B Devstral Small 2. Both models are released under permissive open-source licenses and are designed to be more compact and efficient than competing models. The release also includes Mistral Vibe, an open-source command-line interface that functions as an autonomous coding agent within a developer's terminal.
