Mistral is launching a public preview of Mistral Large 4 (ML4), a natively multimodal model with one trillion parameters. The model demonstrates state-of-the-art performance, particularly in coding, agentic workflows, and cybersecurity, outperforming other open-weight models. Trained in Europe on NVIDIA GPUs, ML4 is designed for AI sovereignty and its weights will be released publicly. It is already competitive with top open-source models and even surpasses some closed models in specific areas like visual grounding and certain cybersecurity tasks. The model is currently available for testing via a preview API on Mistral Studio.
