Proxy-Pointer Framework for Structure-Aware Enterprise Document Intelligence

A Proxy-Pointer framework is introduced for structure-aware enterprise document intelligence, enabling hierarchical understanding and comparison of complex documents like contracts and research papers. The architecture overcomes the challenge of meaning being scattered across documents by preserving the document's hierarchy during retrieval and comparison. It uses a multi-stage process with hierarchical embeddings and an LLM re-ranker to precisely extract and align semantically similar sections across documents for analysis. The author details the system's architecture, the models used, and demonstrates its effectiveness by comparing financial credit agreements and academic research papers.
