Runway Joins the Tech Coalition and Lantern

Runway has joined the Tech Coalition, a global alliance of tech companies working to combat online child sexual exploitation and abuse (OCSEA). The company will also participate in Lantern, the coalition's signal-sharing program, to help detect and address harmful content across different services. By sharing and receiving signals about policy-violating activity, Runway aims to strengthen its detection, connect intelligence across platforms, and take faster action. This partnership builds on Runway's existing "Safety by Design" approach, which includes filtering training data, red-teaming models, and checking user content against known child sexual abuse material databases.
