SARLO-80: Worldwide Slant SAR Language Optic Dataset at 80 cm Resolution

SARLO-80 is a new high-resolution, multimodal dataset created for AI and machine learning applications. It pairs Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) imagery with geometrically aligned optical data and natural-language descriptions to bridge radar and vision-language domains. Unlike optical sensors, SAR is an active sensing technology that can capture images through clouds and at any time of day. The dataset also highlights the unique properties of SAR imaging, including its slant range geometry which causes distortions like layover and foreshortening.
