The Factory Stack

Software factories should be built on an infrastructure stack that is open, composable, and defined as code for versioning and testing. This proposed "Factory Stack" is composed of several layers, starting with a "Factories-as-code" foundation to define agent configurations, runners, and automations. A data and context layer provides agents with necessary information like memories and telemetry, while a compute layer offers self-hostable environments for agent execution. The stack is completed by an inference layer for routing tasks to different AI models and an access layer for human and agent interaction.
