Mistral AI has announced major updates for its free generative AI assistant, "le Chat," positioning it as a comprehensive work tool. New capabilities include web search with citations, a collaborative "Canvas" for ideation and editing, and image generation via a partnership with Black Forest Labs. The assistant's understanding of documents and images is enhanced by the new multimodal model, Pixtral Large. Users can also create and share automated "Agents" to streamline repetitive workflows, with all features currently available in a free beta.
