Trying out Qwen3 Coder Flash using LM Studio and Open WebUI and LLM

Qwen has released a new coding model, Qwen3-Coder-Flash, that is remarkably fast and efficient enough to run on a standard developer laptop. It utilizes a Mixture-of-Experts architecture, activating only a fraction of its 30.5 billion parameters at any time, and is specifically optimized for programming tasks. When tested locally using LM Studio and Open WebUI, the model successfully generated a complete, working version of the game Space Invaders from a single, simple prompt. Beyond just code generation, it also capably handles tool calling, allowing it to interact with other programs and APIs from a command-line interface.
