XBai o4

A new open-source LLM named XBai o4 has been released by the Chinese AI lab MetaStone AI. This 32.8 billion parameter model is licensed under Apache 2.0 and claims to surpass OpenAI-o3-mini in complex reasoning. Hands-on tests involved generating an SVG image and coding a Space Invaders game, which produced functional but imperfect results on a local machine using LM Studio. The model's performance was evaluated, including its memory and GPU usage. Its release is significant as it represents another competitive model emerging from the rapidly developing Chinese AI ecosystem.
